Tips on Getting Rid of Chest Acne


Pimples on the face can be embarrassing to most of us, but for some, acne on the chest can be more alarming. This is especially true when this skin disorder become severe enough to be a danger to your health. If you think you have chest acne that is quite serious, then it may be time for a check-up.

What is acne?

Acne is a skin problem that occurs when the oil glands on your skin (which are called sebaceous glands) become stimulated by certain hormones in our body, making the sebaceous glands produce more oil or sebum.   1. Keep clean

Though toxins have not been proven to remove pimples, scientists from the University of Missouri discovered that drinking around 2 cups of water can significantly boost blood circulation.

There are lots of medicines available for the treatment of acne. Ointments that have either salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, or sulfur as an ingredient are proven to remove pimples. Benzoyl peroxide is useful for mild acne but needs to be regularly applied for it to work. Salicylic acid is more favorable, as benzoyl peroxide can cause bleaching in your clothes. Ointments like these are usually over-the-counter medicines and can be found at your local drugstore.

You can cover up your chest acne if you want to, but keep in mind that tight clothes can stick dirt and bacteria on your skin. There are plenty of natural, herbal remedies that are just as effective as some medicines. You can try a home-made treatment using honey and cinnamon, which can be very useful in fighting chest acne, as they can control acne growth and swelling.


Raw honey has antibacterial properties, while cinnamon can work against microbes. To make this, mix two tablespoons of raw honey with one teaspoon of cinnamon. Apply this mixture on your chest once a week or when required. You can either rinse the mixture off after 30 minutes or leave it on overnight, whichever you believe is best.


Another natural cure for acne is tea tree oil, which is used by many people as a substitute for standard medicines and can be just as effective as benzoyl peroxide. Doctors from Mayo Clinic say that cleansers or medication with 5% of tea tree oil might have the same effect as products with 5% benzoyl peroxide.


Unlike most medicines, however, tea tree oil may take a while to come into effect. Search around or ask a friend about trusted goods with tea tree oil, there are sure to be plenty in pharmacies or drugstores in the town or city you live in.

Some doctors say that stress might also play a part in the production of acne. If you feel tired from working too much, then get just enough hours of sleep to rejuvenate your body and mind.
